Before the sweets, before the guests, before the first aarti — someone reaches up and marks the doorway. Shubh on one side, Labh on the other. Auspiciousness and prosperity, invited in before anyone else is. It is the smallest ritual of Ganesh Chaturthi and somehow the one that holds the whole thing together.

This piece carries that same threshold moment. Ganesha's trunk curls across the chest in vermilion strokes — loose, hand-drawn, the way the mark above a door is made quickly and with complete faith. The sleeve breaks into full bloom, red florals worked dense against ecru, carrying the blessing from the doorway to wherever you are going. Nothing is centred, nothing is boxed. The artwork moves the way a hand moves.

Ecru cotton, red pigment, and a thousand years of a very simple idea: mark the door, and let what is good come in.

How To Style

Built for the festive week. Pair with ecru or off-white wide-leg trousers for the full look, or ground it with cream linen and kolhapuris. The red does all the talking — keep everything under it quiet.

The Fine Print

Every piece in the Festive Edit is handcrafted, which means no two are ever identical. Minor variation in placement, density, and tone between pieces is the signature of handwork — it is the craft, not a flaw. If you want two that match exactly, this is not that. Machine wash cold, inside out, gentle cycle. No bleach. Tumble dry low, or better, air dry.
