Every ROOPKUND piece begins the way the lake does — cold, still, and eventually revealing. The skull on this tee isn't printed on. It's built, thread by thread, from dense blue embroidery worked directly into heavyweight cotton by our in-house artisans. Every ridge and hollow of the skull is individually shaped, outlined in a blue that only shows its full depth in direct light, catching differently depending on how you move.

Fixed to the chest by a set of hidden snap studs is a second skull — same shape, same blue, built to come and go. Press it on when you want the density of two skulls stacked in the same space, or pull it free for a single, quieter mark. One tee, two reads, no compromise on either.

This is where high-altitude myth meets textile craft. No two tees carry the exact same stitch depth or patch placement, because no two hands embroider the same way twice. What you're wearing isn't a graphic — it's a small, deliberate study of what gets left behind at altitude.

The Craft

How To Style

Let the oversized cut do the work. Pair with baggy denim or cargos and chunky sneakers for an easy drop, or tuck loosely into wide-leg trousers with boots for something sharper. Keep both skulls stacked for full impact, or remove the second patch for a quieter, single-mark day.

The Fine Print

Because the skull is hand-embroidered and the second patch is press-fit, slight variation in stitch density, patch alignment, and snap placement is normal — that's the mark of handwork, not a flaw. Machine wash cold, inside out, on a gentle cycle to protect the embroidery. No bleach. Tumble dry low, or better, air dry. Wash less, wear more.
