Nine nights, one circle, and nobody wants the music to stop.

Navratri does not build slowly. The dhol starts, the circle forms, and somewhere around the third night you stop counting how long you have been dancing. Feet find the rhythm before the head does. Gujarat taught the rest of the country how to do this — nine nights of garba where the only rule is that the circle keeps moving.

The artwork on this piece is caught mid-turn. A garba dancer twirls across the chest, dandiya raised, her ghaghra thrown open in blue and green panels like a wheel still spinning. Around the hem, red blossoms repeat in a border — the kind of motif that runs along a chaniya choli, placed here so the pattern moves with you rather than sitting still.

Cropped to sit at the waist, so it pairs the way a choli does — with a ghaghra, a tiered skirt, or whatever you are already spinning in.

• Repeating red floral hem border, drawn from traditional chaniya choli motifs

How To Style

Made for a tiered ecru skirt or a full ghaghra — let the hem border and the skirt border talk to each other. Oxidised silver, juttis, hair up. Nothing else needed.

Every piece in the Festive Edit is handcrafted, which means no two are ever identical. Minor variation in placement, density, and tone between pieces is the signature of handwork — it is the craft, not a flaw. If you want two that match exactly, this is not that. Machine wash cold, inside out, gentle cycle. No bleach. Tumble dry low, or better, air dry.
